Talent Street is looking for a

Solution Architect
A key focus area for this role will be the Disaster Recovery project.

The Solution Architect is expected to work closely with other program architects and vendors and derive solution and detailed design outcomes for a variety of other IT Infrastructure, System and Service based solutions.

Key responsibilities

Support the development of the services disaster recovery project of the solution architecture components of the program.
Support the design and documentation of the program environments landscape sufficient to support project design and environment management stakeholder requirements
Assist in the overall infrastructure design of the data and integration solutions architecture being developed.
Assist in specifying the infrastructure requirements and network required to support the services architecture.
Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors in producing Detailed Design deliverables including technical drawings.
Consultation with program and vendor SMEs, Engineers, and Operational teams to assist with successful project delivery.
Work with the various roles and projects within the program.

Key requirements:

Mandatory

10 years of Solution Architecture experience across Infrastructure, Network and Security domains
Strong understanding of fundamentals of networking, compute, storage, and security
Strong experience in recovery and availability solution architecture
Experience in the implementation phase of complex projects or programs
Ability to build relationships with senior managers and staff and an ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff
Understanding of how to design services to meet security requirements

Please note that you must be eligible for Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance for this role (i.e. hold Australian Citizenship).

Desirable
years experience in Solution Architecture roles that incorporate solutions with significant Data, Integration and Application domain dimensions

Awareness of IT security concepts and standards.
Experienced in developing solutions that are secure and aligned with security policies.
Strong experience with onpremises data centre technologies.
Practical experience with or a sound working knowledge of:
AWS / Azure cloud services
Network Virtualisation
Software Defined Networking
VMWare Infrastructure Solutions
Nutanix Infrastructure Solutions
Backup (Commvault)
Palo Alto Network and Security Technologies
F5 Network and Security Technologies
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
MS Windows 10 / Server 201
Red Hat OpenShift
Postgres
SQL Server
Experience with Architecture Models and Methodologies.
TOGAF accreditation
