The Core Manufacturing Crew is dedicated to delivering customer obsessed home buying solutions enabling Australians to achieve their home ownership goals, whilst having the most sophisticated risk and reward settings and ensuring responsible risk management.

We support the proprietary, digital and third party channels to meet our customers' home ownership goals.


In the Crew, we create new and enhancing the existing suite of core home loans product and features; design new innovative and digitised pricing solutions that create exceptional pricing experiences for our customers and distribution partners whilst delivering best in class home loan pricing strategies and sustainable returns.

We will deliver a step change in the data, analytics and modelling used in Home Buying credit and pricing decisions to deliver improved business outcomes and exceptional customer experience.


_Do work that matters _


You will report to the Crew Lead, Core Manufacturing Crew, and as a Product Owner (at the Senior Manager level), and working with the product strategy squad you will be accountable for delivering new and enhanced product feature initiatives to achieve an outstanding customer experience, balancing commercial outcomes and managing risk within regulatory requirements and organisational risk appetite.


Helping to drive our customer obsession, as the Product Owner you will be strategically meeting customer product needs, optimising processes for our distribution partners and improving customer experience.

You will continuously iterate and enhance solutions to create better outcomes and value for customer and stakeholders.

You will move forward with less-than-perfect information, and quickly pivot to changing work demands, and possess the ability to accurately evaluate complex and ambiguous situations to reach timely, objective and informed decisions.

You will influence others by communicating value with credibility and authority.


_Key Responsibilities _

  • Develop and design features of new products or enhance existing ones to address identified needs or opportunities to deliver on Home Buying's NPS agenda
  • Build and prioritise the Squad backlog in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Lead and engage a diverse squad of Product Managers, Managers, Engineers, Testers and Business Analysts, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high performance culture.
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes
  • Stay abreast of external market trends (from regulatory, competitors, economics to innovation)
  • Plan and lead product and/or regulatory change for new or enhanced products, including internal and external communication and training, and relationship building activities, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders and partners
  • Build and foster strong relationships across the product value chain, including frontline teams, digital, compliance, technology and finance, leading virtual teams to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives and resolution of issues

_We're interested in hearing from people who have: _

  • Experience in retail banking and home loans desirable
  • Translation of product vision to roadmap and backlog
  • Advanced commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced communication and Influencing skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving capability
  • Experience with Agile methodology, working within an Agile Matrix would be ideal.
