An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Allied Health Assistant to work in our Community Care Program.

Our Allied Health Assistants work within a multidisciplinary allied health team, providing support across all disciplines, however the role is primarily focused on supporting Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy clients.

The target population includes people with, or at risk of, chronic conditions, people with multiple and complex needs and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.


Ideally, you will possess:


  • A professional qualification
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assisting from an accredited Registered Training Organization/RTO or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant or in a related area, including supervising exercise groups and handling aids and
equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to working within a team and autonomously to support clients from diverse backgrounds, and with multiple and complex needs.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of working in the aged and community sector ,preferably in a Community Health setting.
  • A clear understanding of and a commitment to the Social Model of Health and Community Health Philosophy.
