About our Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced or apprentice Printer to join the team at Detmold Packaging in a permanent full-time position, based at our Brompton manufacturing facility.

We are seeking a safety conscious team player with experience performing tasks including but not limited to the following:

Effective running of the printing machine to job specification
An ability to interpret artwork prepress
Achieve productivity targets as set by the specifications for the machine
Minimise downtime by following escalation process
Minimise waste and increase efficiencies by understanding productivity and waste targets
All products are to be produced within the specifications provided and escalated to the team leader when they cannot be achieved
Ensure all quality systems and procedures are adhered to
Maintain machines where required, as per the machine specific SOP & relevant diagram
Report all mechanical and electrical downtimes longer than 5 minutes immediately
Report all items that cause the machine to perform under standard
Record all machine anomalies in the Machine Maintenance EAM system
Record relevant data on the machine record sheet, OFS quality check sheet, and productivity and waste target sheet

To be considered for this position, you should:

Take safety seriously, with a demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
Have experience running Printing Machines
Have a Print Trade Qualification such as Certificate 3 in Print Machining and Graphic Arts or relevant experience in Printing
Have excellent communication skills and sound computer skills
Have a cando attitude and good attention to detail
