The opportunity:


The Specialist HSEQ role is vital to the coordination and implementation of: Work Health and Safety activities to reduce the risk of incidents, injury or illness to our people, contractors, our customers, and the community; and the support for the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) system, the Kinetic Way.


Your Main Responsibilities:


  • Conduct regular inspections, safety audits and hazard assessments of work locations, work groups, projects and individuals at the assigned job location.
  • Contribute to the development of a culture that promotes the wellbeing of all our people through appropriate health, wellbeing and environmental programs and activities.
  • Coordinate the local Health, Wellbeing and Safety Committee ensuring an effective process for monitoring and reporting on HSEQ performance of the Business unit.
  • Assist the Business units meet the requirements set out in the Kinetic Way and their obligation to maintain best practice for ISO accreditation.
  • Maintain statutory registers, depot records on HSEQ matters for the control of documentation and data relating to the Kinetic Way.
  • Coordinate the HSEQ incident reporting and investigation framework and provide regular reports to management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Business unit HSEQ Strategic and Operational Plan.
  • Coordinate internal / external HSEQ audits and develop plans to action.
  • Coordinate the local Emergency Management System.
  • Assist in the successful return to work of injured and ill workers through the mentoring of managers and supervisors to fulfil their responsibilities and the identification of suitable duties.

The boxes you'll tick:


  • A sound knowledge and understanding of practice in HSEQ including demonstrated skills in carrying out audits, inspections, risk assessments and other HSE and wellbeing activities.
  • Experience in the implementation of HSEQ policies and work practices that are consistent with organisational policies as well as external regulatory requirements.
  • Selfmotivated with a demonstrated enthusiastic approach to daytoday business operations and positive approach to a continual changing work environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internal systems.
  • Bachelor of Business/ Safety and Wellbeing or related discipline or substantial relevant experience.
  • Experience in providing HSEQ advice and business unit support.
