The Victorian Energy Upgrades program is Victoria's premier energy efficiency and emissions reduction program, helping households and businesses save money on their energy bills through energy efficient upgrades.

We're looking for a talented Industry Engagement Officer to join our dedicated and supportive team.

You'll have the opportunity to lead work on the important and high-profile VEU program, contributing to its goals by engaging and working with businesses to become Accredited Providers for activities under the scheme.


As a key member of the Energy Demand and Efficiency Policy team, the Industry Engagement Officer (VEU) will lead and manage engagement across industry and with businesses, working closely with colleagues across the broader department and in the Essential Services Commission to improve economic, social and sustainability outcomes from Victoria's leading energy efficiency program.


To be successful in this position, you will have demonstrated experience in strategic engagement, a positive attitude, and extensive experience in building rapport with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds.


Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A background in stakeholder engagement theory with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement engagement strategies.
  • Experience in practical stakeholder engagement and the ability to proactively identify major communications and stakeholder relations risks, opportunities and issues, and developing effective mitigation strategies as required.

This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2023. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, Melbourne.
