The Regional Engagement Officer - Loddon Mallee, Project Delivery is responsible for contributing to best practice strategy and framework for regional community and stakeholder engagement for transmission projects being developed in the Murray River Renewable Energy Zone (REZ).

This position is based within the Loddon Mallee region, with an immediate focus on locations where the KerangLink interconnector between Victoria and New South Wales is being developed.

This local approach is designed to enable earlier and deeper engagement with communities and build effective social licence, consistent with the objectives in the Preliminary Victorian Transmission Investment Framework (VTIF).

The Regional Engagement Officer - Loddon Mallee, Project Delivery works within a regional engagement team to support the implementation of tailored engagement strategies for a broad range of stakeholders (including local communities and landholders), development of collateral to support the engagement strategies, and liaison with proponents during project delivery to implement the strategies as required throughout the project lifecycle.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in stakeholder engagement, media, or public relations.
  • Experience in developing promotional and communication materials highly valued.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with regional communities, highly valued.
  • Knowledge of the communities and local economies in the Loddon Mallee region highly valued.
This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria, with hybrid work arrangements available.
