The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled
Roofing Construction Supervisor to join our Melbourne construction service team to support the delivery of CSR Bradford construction standards.
Reporting to the Construction Manager this is a fast paced, varied and rewarding role where you will be required to demonstrate professional knowledge of roof construction, managing subcontracting teams and delivering excellent service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving to various sites (610 sites most days) to check for job readiness and safety
- Maintaining a friendly, professional, and efficient working relationship with builders, supervisors, subcontractors, and work colleagues
- Effectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure installation jobs are completed safely and within given timeframes
- Oversee, organise, prioritise, and manage subcontractors
- Conduct regular safety audits and compliance tests of contractors for WHSE compliance
- Resolve business issues and customer concerns in a timely and effective manner
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you will have a background in construction, a solid understanding of the construction industry and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will also be able to demonstrate
- Experience in a similar position, having supervisory experience within the construction industry
- A trade background (roofing, scaffolding or roof plumbing will be an advantage)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage high activity and to drive teams forward
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and an eye for detail
- A passion for providing a safe working environment
- Basic to intermediate PC skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
