State Government Agency to engage an AO7 Principal Policy Officer.
***This position is located in their busy Brisbane office for an initial
contract until 31 December 2023.
About the Position
Duties
- Provide strategic policy advice to senior management on forestry policy matters to support and inform government decision making
- Research and prepare departmental and wholeofgovernment policy papers, submissions, reports and briefings
- Review and analyse policy options with a view to determining their potential impacts on the forest and timber industry
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government and nongovernment, and develop and sustain collaborative and productive working relationships.
Requirements/Skills
- Experience in strategic policy relating to the management of natural resources.
- A tertiary qualification in policy or natural resource management would be highly regarded.
