We are currently seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our team in Australia.

This role is to assure compliance of Kerry Taste and Nutrition Products with appropriate regulations and to serve as a regulatory support to internal and external customers for regulatory matters for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).


Key responsibilities:


  • Coordinate all Regulatory Activities for ANZ across all Taste and Nutrition Technologies.
  • Act in market as an interface between Customer Sales, RDA and QA/Manufacturing, and the Global Kerry business for any Regulatory and Compliance requirements.
  • Key to the role is actively supporting customers (internal and external) to ensure the efficient, accurate and prompt response to Regulatory and Documentation requirements.
  • Identify, implement, and maximise system and team resources on simplification and standardisation in line with continuous improvement plans.
  • Support internal team to ensure new and existing products meet briefs in terms of customer specified compliance documentation and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of Compliance standards for ANZ in line with local and regional Food Standards in APMEA (Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa) and other International Regulations which may have an impact in APMEA/ANZ.
  • Manage regulatory clearance and/or compliance in ANZ for Food Ingredients, Taste & Nutrition for multiple, complex, and strategically important areas and serve as focal point for information on same.
  • Facilitate product registration with relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluate regulatory implications of product and process changes and make recommendations for approval/disapproval and signsoff, as assigned.
  • Manage and mentor the regulatory team in ANZ to deliver efficient, accurate and timely regulatory information to internal and external customers.
  • Manage the development of the regulatory team, with training/knowledge as required to enhance the required skills of the team.

Qualifications and skills:


  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or similar field.
  • 10 years' experience minimum in the food and nutrition industry in Regulatory, QA or RDA.
  • Proven track record of successful submissions and influencing regulations/regulators (eg, FSANZ, AQIS, AFCG, AIFST, FIAL, Chamber, MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries NZ)
  • Required skillset to accurately analyse data, compliance and maintain documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to utilize and leverage available internal and external resources.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.
  • Successfully analyse problems which require an indepth understanding of the organisation.
  • Consistent proactive attitude towards clients' issues and track record of team leadership.
  • Abstract conceptualization, problem solving, and proactive thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret guidelines and regulations applicable to local and regional team.
  • Previous experience in managing a team is preferred.
  • Fluent in English (verbally and in writing).
