About the role:


The Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for leading and directing operational excellence of the integrated supply chain activities for Lonsdale manufacturing and flavours imports business.

The role will provide strategic direction across each element of Supply Chain Planning to ensure it is operating in an effective and coordinated manner.

This will allow the pursuit of efficiency improvements and the achievement of performance targets in line business objectives which will enhance customer delivery performance and our market position


Key responsibilities:


  • Manage/coordinate supply, production and materials planning for the Lonsdale, Adelaide operation.
  • Manage/coordinate supply of our flavours import traded business for Kerry locations around the world.
  • Ensure the development & implementation of efficient, customer focused Supply Chain policies and processes to support service, cost, and inventory targets
  • Ensure OTIF targets are achieved at optimal cost through efficient and effective management of the supply chain including liaison with other internal functions, customers and suppliers as required
  • Manage inventory to optimum levels to support customer demand and achieve business inventory objectives
  • Ensure efficient capacity planning and production scheduling that will meet customer demand at least cost
  • Monitor and ensure all activities are conducted in a timely manner to support customer demand/production schedule required dates
  • Analyse reports, data and performance of supply chain and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are in place
  • Oversight and management of the Inventory Control Tower process

This would include:

  • Task allocation and chasing on time resolution
  • Management of the Raw Material write off process
  • Driving corrective actions to avoid issue reoccurrence
  • Ensuring 100% process compliance from all MCO planners
  • Support and participate in the commercialisation process through to launch of all new products introduced into the site. This would include coordination of material requirements to meet production launch timelines.
  • Prepare, present, and support the Supply Review meeting process that form part of strategic Sales and Operational Planning process, and when necessary, the execution of strategic planning initiatives
  • Communicate and cooperate with suppliers for all matters related to supply chain (supply demand, schedule shipment, importation etc)
  • Manage and coordinate Supply Chain projects to successful outcomes
  • Ensure on time, efficient commercialisation of new products into the business in conjunction with other functions
  • Implement, monitor, and improve systems and work procedures in supply chain to achieve high effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. This includes driving full compliance to the SAP ERP system.
  • SAP Planning Super User / Expert

Qualifications and skills:


  • At least 5 years planning & material management experience role with at least 3 years' experience in a leadership role
  • A solid understanding of Supply Chain Theory coupled with hands on purchasing, inventory/materials planning experience.
  • Strong analytical, planning and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems is essential; SAP experience a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that exemplify professionalism in both internal and external environments and enables effective ways of working with people from different functions and levels;
  • Motivated with a drive to succeed in a demanding and challenging working environment;
  • Excellent problem solver with the ability to tackle complex issues and work to tight deadlines to achieve desired outcomes.
