We're looking for an experienced
Compliance Manager with specialty expertise in
Obligation Management to join our high performing
Integrated Compliance Team.


Please note this is a
12 months fixed term contract opportunity
.
You'll be part of the core team helping ING Australia transform how it manages its obligations end-to-end.

Working with people from across the Bank on a variety of obligation topics, you'll represent the Compliance Function while performing the below activities.

What you'll do

  • Review and interpret obligations within the remit of the Compliance function
  • Write Compliance risk statements where Compliance is the obligation owner, and review Compliance risk statements prepared by other obligation owners within the business
  • Identify any gaps, map and assess Compliance owned processes and controls to obligations owned by the Compliance function
  • Review and challenge process and control mapping performed by other obligation owners
  • Assist in the preparation and communication of progress reporting against Compliance activities as defined within the RX Program, Obligation Management work stream.


You may also be asked to jump into some Business As Usual compliance activities to help the Compliance Team succeed more broadly.


What we're looking for

  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders across all levels of management (both internally and externally), make recommendations and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Proven hands on Compliance Risk Management experience ideally 7 years of practical experience
  • Technical and working knowledge of some or all of these key obligation domains would be highly advantageous: Financial services (corporations act) & consumer protection, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing, Competition and consumer and National Consumer Credit Protection
  • Excellent analytical skills ability to proactively identify and diagnose compliance related issues quickly and provide business oriented solutions a "can do" approach with ability to find "outside of the box" solutions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
