Client Profile

Hastings has been retained by an innovative and progressive Australian hospitality company that own and operate several businesses in Western Australia.

Bringing together a team of world-class designers, architects, planners and hoteliers, this resort-style development will set a new standard in leisure and tourism for the area.

This is an exciting opportunity to get out of the city and lead a strong team amongst a thriving local community.

This is no traditional hotel operation, with several types of accommodation, retail and F&B offerings.

You will play an integral role in the pre-opening of the property, bringing your experience in all aspects of hotel/resort operations.

From here, maintaining its success story will be, in large part, up to you and your team.

You will be working alongside highly regarded operators who have come on board to see this vision come to life.

This is a hands-on role for a creative, energetic leader who has the experience to stand on their own two feet and execute plans to help guide the business and develop those who work in it.

To be successful in this role you will have:

A passion for the delivery of new projects and refurbishments
Experience leading a complex preopening operation and delivery according to timelines
Previous experience as a General Manager is a must
Resort/island experience preferred but not essential
Proven ability to work closely with key stakeholders and drive change management, postopening.
The ability to recruit and performance manage a large team, ensuring a positive staff culture
Expert commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
An independent and innovative manager who can challenge the status quo

Offer
The salary on offer is circa $180,000 plus super, plus free accommodation (free-standing house).
