The Opportunity


We are seeking a talented
Sustainment Services Support Manager to manage teams providing sustainment services within the Product Support Training & Maintenance (PST&M) Capability across the Boeing enterprise.

This management role will be balanced between managing people in geographically diverse locations, combined with providing both strategic sustainment advice across Boeing Businesses, as well as providing services direct to a range of Boeing sustainment programs, and will possess the following attributes:


  • Able to interact at all levels of management with strong strategic / conceptual thinking and communication skills.
  • A people person and good communicator who can engage and motivate diverse and geographically dispersed teams;
  • Outcome focused approach to supporting Business and program initiatives such as Platform Stewardship, Weapon System Integration, Sustainment Models and Asset Management in a sustainment context.
  • Dynamic, strategic, innovative and likes to think outside the square;
  • Team oriented, influential and likes a challenge;
  • Able to contribute sustainment advice to Boeing campaigns, and lead and coordinate sustainment solutions across training, tools & processes, maintenance, engineering, and logistics.


This role will also support initiatives within Boeing programs such as E-7A Wedgetail, Super Hornet, C-17 Globemaster and P-8; plus land-based communications and radar systems capabilities.

The role is based in
Brisbane.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Strategic internal projects that deliver value on behalf of Product Support, Training and Maintenance
  • Managing geographically diverse teams providing sustainment services within Boeing programs
  • Contributing to and support initiatives across sustainment programs, including developing, documenting, and deploying common processes and tools
  • Actively participate as an integral part of the PST&M Sustainment Services management team
  • Contribute as a member of campaign teams to provide advice into and solutioneer sustainment services offering
  • Coordinating with other programs and capabilities to maximize sustainment services offerings
  • Build productive relationships to guide and align programs to customer expectations.
  • Provide broad ongoing support and coordination to support continuous improvement

Experience/Qualifications

  • Understanding of Project Management principles in order to run strategic projects for the Product Support Training and Maintenance Capability.
  • Demonstrated management and communication experience in sustainment environment to work with a wide cross section of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing people and teams across geographically diverse locations
  • Management experience within a matrix organisation (desirable)
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in providing elements of sustainment services, asset management, and platform stewardship (whether in a supply chain, maintenance, ILS or engineering role)
  • Ex-Defence would be considered highly desirable particularly with Platform Stewardship experience / understanding.
