THE OPPORTUNITY

A Full-Time permanent position is available for an experienced Operational Risk Analyst within the Credit and Risk Management Department.

The successful candidate will take on general operational risk responsibilities and will report to the Deputy/Assistant Head of the department as part of the Second Line of Defence function in a growing Foreign ADI.

Core activities include risk analysis to assess, on a wholesale license, ADI's operational risks such as information security, business continuity and provider risks. This role will assist seniors in the team to process controls assurance and policy updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the development and implementation of standardised operational risk management metrics, KRIs and risk reporting frameworks
Assess and draft revisions for operational risk related policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to information security to ensure conformance with Australian Government regulatory requirements and industry standards
Coordinate with teams to process assurance plan on critical operations and information security management

Information Security Risk Analysis: (30%)

Assist the team to deliver specialist information security assurance guidance & direction to internal stakeholders with external resources
Assist the team in identifying, quantifying, and reporting information security risks from use of technologies and third parties
Assist the team to run/execute the security controls assurance program
Serve as a model for strong service ethos to all stakeholders, ensuring pragmatic solutions to emerging risks are communicated

Management Assistance: (20%)

Assist the daily risk management process under the Risk Management Framework, such as assisting with policy gap analysis, risk data management, preparing training slides, and other tasks for the comprehensive risk management of an ADI

Ad hoc tasks: (20%)

Risk relevant ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Head of CRMD/CRO

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Essential - A Bachelor's degree or higher education, majoring in finance or related field
Desirable - A Bachelor's degree or higher education, majoring in Information Technology related
At least one-year finance industry related working experience
Highly interested in banking industry security control and risk management
Attention to detail, highly motivated, capable of multi-tasking, and willingness to learn and develop within the role
Both written and verbal proficiency in English and Mandarin
A good team player, a strong communicator and capable of working autonomously or as part of a team cooperatively
Desirable - General understanding of security and financing industry-standards and/or Australian Government specific risk management and control frameworks
Desirable - Certifications or in processing certification related to risk and control management
Desirable - Auditing or control testing experience in JD related management area
