The Opportunity


An exciting opportunity has become available for a
Research Fellow in Social Innovation to join
Action Lab in the
Department of Human-Centred Computing within the
Faculty of Information Technology.


Reporting directly to Director of Action Lab, you will conduct world-class research in Social Innovation through the conduct and supervision of research, and dissemination and engagement activities.


In order to be successful in this position, you must have a doctoral qualification in sociology, or a closely related discipline/equivalent accreditation and standing.

You will be an expert in both community development and qualitative methods and have experience in working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.


You will possess a high level of interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work positively and cooperatively with students, internal and external teams and external organisations with teaching experience in a tertiary environment.

You will also have a track record of publication at internationally leading venues and research collaboration with academic and practitioner stakeholders.
