About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to patients of the Dermatology Department.

An exceptional opportunity now exists for a junior medical officer to join St Vincent's Department of Dermatology.

St Vincent's Hospital is a tertiary referral and teaching hospital affiliated with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) providing multi-disciplinary inpatient and outpatient care.

Clinical duties include in-patient care, consults, biopsies, referral triage and attending outpatients clinics. The trainee will be supervised at all times by department consultants and senior registrars. Research activity will be undertaken at the Dermatology, Phlebology, Fluid Mechanics Research Lab (St. Vincent's Applied Medical Research) and the affiliated clinical centres.

Selection Criteria:


  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • At least three years post graduate experience.
  • Enrolment in a dermatology-related higher education degree (Masters or PhD) with the UNSW.
  • Excellent track record of research, publication or educational activities in dermatology or related fields.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills to work independently within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy including any amendments made from time to time.
