Allied Health Assistants play a vital role in the care of patients at home.Working under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional, the Allied Health Assistant provides clinical and administrative service as directed by the Allied Health Professional.
Your caring approach, communication and lively personality will be key attributes to support the team.You will also be flexible and willing to learn, supporting our Physiotherapist Therapists in a broad range of tasks associated with assistive technology and resource development.
Essential
- Certificate in allied health assistance or current allied health aged care student.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Empathy, patience team work and flexibility
- A current driver's license and safe driving record.
- Vaccination history
DESIRABLE
- Experience providing rehabilitation service in outpatient/ community settings.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- An understanding of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
