The Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Commercial and Legal, the


Contract Manager's responsibilities will include:


  • Lead day to day proposal activities including development, estimation, negotiation, handover to transition, operational teams and, or bid close
  • Effectively lead, plan, program and manage the preparation of bids, assurance, risk, and approvals in accordance with Genus' delegation of authority and policies and procedures, ensuring engagement and communication to required stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
  • Provide innovation and drive continuous improvement within the tendering and submissions process and make recommendations for consideration
  • Work closely with legal, commercial, treasury and finance teams to ensure all corporate requirements are met in all submissions
  • Maintain key client stakeholder relationships and represent Genus at stakeholder meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • Qualifications in contracts or commercial/business law
  • Minimum three years experience in a commercial, pre contracts or contract management role.
  • Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, organisational and presentation/finishing skills
  • High level customer relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, schedule and plan.
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently using own initiative and within a cohesive team environment.
  • Internet and PC proficiency with advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Outlook Skills.
  • Demonstrated level of analytical, numerical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to listen actively and retain information accurately.
  • Demonstrated level of commercial insight.
  • Experience in commercial negotiation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the AS4000 suite of contracts.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Qualification in Project Management, Legal or Engineering.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience.
  • Experience in similar roles in the electricity, engineering, infrastructure, utilities, construction and/or resources industry.
  • Experience in commercial contract formation and tendering processes.
