The Role
Reporting to the General Manager of the Commercial Team - the


Contract Assistant's responsibilities will include:


  • Drafting and negotiating contracts as directed by the Executive General Manager
  • Commercial & Legal.
  • Undertaking contract analysis and providing advice to the business.
  • Monitoring and advising on compliance with contractual obligations, including revisions to existing contracts.
  • Preparing documents for tender, negotiating legal agreements with customers or suppliers, and undertaking research on topics relevant to the industry.
  • Provide required monitoring/reporting consistent with achieving contract deliverables within the agreed timeframes.
  • Provide daytoday administration and record keeping relating to all contractual and commercial matters, including but not limited to Variations, Delays, Correspondence, and procurement status
  • Update Cost Control systems with variation and EOTs based on registers.
  • Establish positive working networks and relationships with both internal and external clients that result in efficient, timely and effective communication.

Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Valid Driver's Licence "C" Class.
  • Excellent time management, organisational and presentation/finishing skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently using own initiative and within a cohesive team environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems.
  • Highlevel analytical, numerical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to listen actively and retain information accurately.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent commercial administration experience, ideally within construction or engineering.
  • Knowledge of Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy infrastructure.
  • Experience in a similar role in the electricity, engineering, infrastructure, utilities, construction and/or resources industry.
  • Experience in commercial contract formation and tendering processes
