The Opportunity


We have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer to be part of our Office of the Minister Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.


The role of the Business Support Officer is to provide executive, administrative, and business support to the Minister's office staff on government policy, cross-issues with other portfolios, liaison with the Department, other Government Agencies, Ministers, Members of Parliament and relevant organisation and officials.

The role also provides a personal assistant function to the Chief of Staff, including diary management and coordination of papers.


The Business Support Officer is accountable to the Office Manager for the provision of an administrative and business support service that contributes to the overall effectiveness and service of the Minister's Office.


The role contributes to the delivery of onePIRSA, the PIRSA team's shared commitment to operate as a modern, effective, and reliable public sector agency.
