About the Role

The Group Manager Workers Compensation and Injury Management will own and drive the implementation of a step-change across workers' compensation and injury management.

Through education and constant review of all workers compensation matters with the business, drive a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on early return to work and ultimately prevention Additionally you will be responsible for:

Development and delivery of coaching of frontline leaders to build capability and enable effective management of injuries and illness.
Partner with the senior management team to bring about better understanding and body of knowledge with respect to the management and expectations for employees who are ill or injured as a result of work.
Provide advice and support to sites on injury management and workers compensation claims management.
Participate in claims reviews and insurers and actively manage estimated and premium impacted costs.
Manage insurance requirements for workers compensation/
Continuous improvement of the injury management, rehabilitation and return to work policies and procedures.
Provide the organisation with statistical trend analysis to assist key stakeholders to control costs associated with injury management, rehabilitation and return to work

About You

Strong depth of experience as an injury management/workers compensation manager within a large complex organisation
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
Proven and effective track record in injury management and return to work processes in large multisite organisations with wide geographical dispersion
Highly collaborative style and strong stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement, cultural change and process improvement
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally.
