Our client, located in Newcastle NSW, is an up-beat and rapidly growing company in the Motorhome industry. They are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This permanent fulltime role is a part of the senior operations team and is responsible for ensuring master data is maintained immaculately and inventory is always stocked.

This role requires a deep understanding of sub-assemblies and BOM design is critical to success in this role, so too is experience with mitigating supply-chain risk.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Management of MRP system.
Ensuring internally and externally sourced parts and components are never out of stock.
Ordering via Purchase Orders and online from a range of suppliers.
Providing forecasts to suppliers to guarantee supply and delivery windows.
Coordinating orders between offshore suppliers and local custom brokers.
Maintaining flawless records of stock, overseeing regular stocktake cycles.
Enforcing conventions and structure across purchasing processes and data entry.
Direct responsibility for the quality and accuracy of master data.
Report through to the onsite Operations Manager daily.

ABOUT YOU

Senior accounts, purchasing and forecasting experience.
Stockonhand auditing experience, with highly developed attention to detail.
Technology savvy across several platforms, Office, Google Apps and Project Management tools inclusive.
Ability to demonstrate and employ advanced Excel functions to improve workflow.
Experience in data integrity processes, ability to design and enforce conventions and rule sets.
Ability to learn new software quickly.
Possess a confident, resilient, and firm approach.
Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
Positive approach and enthusiastic about business growth.
