The Opportunity

The Faculty of Information Technology, enabled by Faculty Strategic Plan , is about to embark on a radical Education Transformation Project that will reinvigorate and reshape the way we interact with, educate and prepare graduates for the future.

The project has four distinct pillars which will operate as distinct workstreams for the overall project.

It aims to transform our offerings and build greater connectivity to our community, both staff, students and the IT profession.

Building community and sense of belonging to the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash and the IT profession
Embedding the development of student attributes in our course/unit design, including teaching and assessment
Reshaping, enhancing and transforming the way we deliver content and build knowledge
Improving and transforming assessment regimes

The Educational Designer will support the Faculty Education Transformation Project to enable a smooth transition to effective pedagogical approaches and effective use of educational technologies and learning spaces.

More broadly, the Educational Designer works within a team structure to provide pedagogical advice to academic staff across the Faculty, which helps them best support their students' learning experience.

This position also contributes to and supports the facilitation of training programs for new and existing FIT teaching staff.
