Jetstar is currently undergoing some exciting transformational changes and as a result we are expanding our data analytics and AI capabilities within the Data Insights & Analytics team.


The
Analytics Enablement Manager will be required to bridge the gap between the broader data analytics/data science team and the business to further develop the analytics strategy, develop analytics use cases and deliver & embed them to realise business value for Jetstar.

The role calls for a balance of leadership and influencing skills to proactively plan for, and manage, all interactions with business partners to lead innovation and continuous improvement into Jetstar Group where possible.


Reporting to the Senior Manager - Data Insights & Analytics,
key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Build a thorough understanding of Jetstar's business units and their relevant functional areas' strategic needs
  • Act as a lynchpin between business SMEs and 'Data & Analytics' team
  • Translate analytical and business findings into improvement measures / recommendations
  • Establish strong and effective relationships with a range of both technical and senior business stakeholders
  • Identify potential use cases that will drive strategic business value
  • Partner with data analytics teams to clearly define and scope the business problem, analytical and data engineering approach and plan for end to end project delivery
  • Effectively communicate recommendations, direction and progress to ensure alignment and engagement across the wider stakeholder group
  • Track project milestones / deliverables and engage with business SMEs to document the impact of projects on business outcomes following delivery
  • Seek to improve capability across the organisation in the areas of Reporting, Analytics and Data Science
  • Positively promote data analytics team, in order to maximise brand leverage and develop the team's profile
  • Work in close partnership with data science managers to size analytical opportunities and execute plans that ensure a positive commercial return

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative related field (e.g. business, maths, economics, finance, statistics, science or engineering)
  • Previous business analysis experience within a large, complex environment
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrable ability in influencing, negotiating, managing teams, establishing and running cross functional projects/teams, delivering outcomes in a time sensitive environment, managing change and project management
  • Proven project management skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in big data analytics and technology is highly preferred
  • Ability to translate analytical and business findings into meaningful and actionable insights
  • A naturally inquisitive and analytical mind, and strong ability to problem solve
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex topics simply
  • A genuine interest and passion to learn and develop new skills
  • Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to deal with ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem resolution, decisionmaking skills and the ability to collect/analyse data and present conclusions to management
