ASIC is seeking a full time IT Procurement Specialist to join their IT Procurement team

  • Salary starting from $114,351 to $122,022 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The team

ePPO provides a wide range of enterprise support services to ASIC. In addition, we also provide the governance, reporting and methodology required to deliver these initiatives.

The ePPO IT Business Office is responsible for the efficient financial and procurement management of ICT Services in partnership with Senior ICT Management and the ASIC Finance team.

The team is responsible for effective and compliant ICT procurement and ongoing contract management.

The ePPO IT Procurement team are responsible for providing 'best in class' ICT procurement, and delivery of strategic procurement and contract specialist support.

The team is crucial in ensuring that their stakeholders follow legislative requirements and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) in all procurements.

It is responsible in providing procurement and contract specialist support across the ePPO, Information Technology, Chief Data Office, and Digital Transformation Program.

The role

  • Working with ASIC's IT managers and Senior Executive Leaders to deliver ICT procurement solutions in a fastpaced and challenging environment, ensuring business objectives are met, value for money is achieved and in compliance with the PGPA Act and government procurement policies.
  • Providing endtoend delivery of low value/simple procurements as well as high value/complex procurements. This includes providing advice and guidance on procurement strategy, preparing and finalising approval documentation, preparing and finalising tender and contract documentation in consultation with the business and legal advisers as required.
  • Assessing and reporting on procurement risks, managing tender evaluations, and driving project delivery within tight timeframes.
  • Conducting procurement activities utilising Australian Whole of Government Arrangements and Federal Government Panels such as Digital Marketplace, Software Marketplace, and Hardware Marketplace.
  • Managing transactional procurements for low value purchases of software and hardware
  • Providing Probity advice and assistance throughout the procurement process
About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
  • Experience in leading, managing and monitoring procurement related activities.
  • Experience in using Government Panels and their associated portals such as Digital Marketplace, Software Marketplace, and Hardware Marketplace
  • Substantial experience of procurement in an Information Technology environment.
