The Facilities, Assets and Campus Services' team at Swinburne University is looking for a Space and Resources Manager to join their team


The Space and Resources Manager is responsible for the management of the physical allocation of resources and space for academic schools/portfolio across the organisation.

In this role, the successful applicant will be required to work across the organisation managing their team and portfolio, to support the service delivery requirements for the assigned schools and department.


The main responsibilities of the Space and Resources Manager will include documenting people allocations and undertaking space analysis and projects to be able to report on and ensure spaces are being allocated and utilised appropriately.

The role supports the development of space procedures and the implementation of university wide Estate and Space policies to support effective utilisation and allocation of space.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role which required coordination of a range of functions and development and implementation of processes and procedure to support policy, preferably in a tertiary education institution
  • Experience in project development, management and implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels both internal and external to the University with professionalism and appreciation of sensitive issues
  • Excellent written communication skills including the ability to research, analyse, prepare reports and documentation including statistical analysis

Qualifications

  • Completion of a degree with at least 4 years relevant experience; or extensive experience and management experience in technical or administration fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
