Description

An excellent opportunity exists for an ideal candidate to join Rex as a part-time Catering Officer at Melbourne Airport.

Reporting:

The Catering Officer will report to the Ramp and Catering Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

Aircraft loading and unloading and assist with the completion of required documentation

Marshalling of catering vehicles onto and away from aircraft

Loading and unloading of catering vehicles including maintaining appropriate stock levels

General warehouse duties, including but not limited to; Receiving stock from suppliers Temperature recording of food, fridges and vehicles Building or replenishing food, bar and stores drawers in accordance with specifications General stock counts and stock rotation Assembling flights sets in accordance with specifications

Counting and reconciliation of bar sheets (in Port Supervisors absence)

Ensuring cleanliness of the warehouse in maintained

Assist with daily GSE checks, refuelling of GSE and reporting of unserviceability

Be aware and assist with the safety and security of all personnel on the aircraft apron

Report any accidents and/or incidents in the correct manner

Adhere to all Company policies and procedures

Assist with Ramp duties as required

Selection Criteria:

Previous airline experience is preferred

Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and Airside Driver's Licence

Current driver's licence.

Current MR licence desirable

Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings, and weekend work

High standard of physical fitness

High standard of professionalism

Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on-time performance

Ability to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions
