    • 6 month contract
    • Hybrid role based in Canberra 2-3 days in office
    • $71p/h + SA on offer

    A leading government agency is seeking a Procurement & Contract Officer based in Canberra for a 6 month contract.

    As a member of the Procurement and Contracts team, the Officer will work specifically with the Library and Learning Services (LLS) business unit of the agency to develop procurement documentation and manage procurement activities.

    Key responsibilities for this include:

    • Promote and apply the agency's ProcurementFramework , including legislation, policies, guidelines and procedures.
    • Manage procurement process including development of documentation in accordance with policy and procedure.
    • Provide advice and support to all staff for procurement and contract management activities.
    • Participate in strategic planning and coordination for procurement and contract management activities.
    • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including ProcurementACT , and contract managers.

    Key requirements for this include:

    • Tertiary qualifications, or progress towards qualifications in Procurement and Contract Management disciplines highly desirable.
    • Previous Experience working within the ACTGOVprocurement guidelines.
    • Knowledge of procurement and contractmanagement guidelines, procedures, and frameworks in a government context.
    • Demonstrated experience in procurement and contractmanagement activities
    • Strong judgement, negotiation, written and oral communication skills and experience with internal and external stakeholder engagement
    • Ability to work under limited direction, including experience in planning, prioritising and organising work for self and others to achieve goals and deadlines
