This socially focussed line agency is responsible for whole-of-government coordination of policy development, program design, and service delivery.

The diverse nature of this agency's staff will challenge you and the team's creativity and problems solving in being able to communicate the change in what may be the most diverse strategies and methods in the APS.


The Role:


You will join the change team who will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures.


You will be supporting the change lead:

  • Creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption and usage and minimise resistance
  • Driving faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation of and proficiency with the changes that impact staff. These improvements will increase benefit realisation, value creation and the achievement of results and outcomes
  • Convey change management information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders

The Ideal Person:


If you are a junior to mid-level change manager this is the role you've been waiting for as the next step of your career.


You could be an APS6/EL1 APS change manager looking for a s26 transfer, a contractor looking for your next meaty role or a management consultant (Big 4 or Tier 2) looking to move client side.

You are motivated by working in a high performing team, learning, and doing work that makes an impact. You have a high EQ with excellent communication skills that allows you to convey information concisely.

You must be an Australian citizen and have a minimum baseline clearance, or the ability to obtain one.


Salary / Rate:

This role is available on a contract, s26 temporary or permanent transfer:

  • Hourly Rate: $80/hr
  • $110/hr + Super
  • Salary: $110k
- $125k + 15.4% Super

  • 12 months nonongoing
  • Based on site in Canberra, with flexibility around WFH
