JOB TITLE: LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet contractual requirements and project schedule requirements.
Issuing, handling, manifesting, and management of materials across a large-scale project in the offshore sector, facilitating movements of materials to coincide with schedule requirements for the most cost-effective movement, considering all logistical facets of operation and scheduled/unscheduled offshore operations.
Communicate with suppliers to ensure materials are packed and delivered according to Company procedures. Communicate and document any non-compliance.
Manage non-compliant materials and personnel traveling offshore.
Liaise with and supervise the movement of personnel (company personnel, sub-contractors, etc.) from point-of-hire to offshore facility and return.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders where required.
Supervise subordinate members and sub-contractors performing logistical work scopes, ensuring safe and efficient operations in the best interest of the company and clients.
Supervise logistics teams, ensuring safe loading and unloading of company and sub-contracted cargo at onshore locations.
Supervise material and equipment deliveries, informing Management of shortfalls of equipment and packaging compliance.
Review and supervise the performance of third-party service providers in relation to the project.
Review and maintain material receiving reports against shipping documents to verify that material has been received, initiating follow-up actions when required.
Report on all Materials and Logistic matters to the project team, including weekly and monthly summary reports.
Supply chain expertise and support to the team.
Control of the stores and consumables to support the project.
Staging of materials and equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and stock take of materials stored in various onshore facilities.
Works as part of the readiness and execution team.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Experience in supporting offshore operations.

Experience in supervising sub-contractors or subordinates.

Track record of coordinating all logistics and materials disciplines associated with the support disciplines necessary to facilitate an offshore operation.

Knowledgeable in the complexities associated with marine chartering.

Ideally, 10+ years' experience in a similar logistics/supply chain operations role, preferably in an oil and gas environment.

Accuracy/attention to detail.

Performance-driven.

Ability to propose and obtain buy-in to a compromise solution, in instances where conflicts of interest arise.

Ability to easily communicate with external stakeholders and subcontractors.

Feel confident in their ability to challenge any plan or existing condition.
