About the role
The works form part of BHP/BMA's Project Australia wide Village Security Improvement program.
Multiple positions available for competent Communications Technicians across 3 sites located in the Bowen Basin, QLD
The work includes the installation of additional lighting, security cameras, Fibre Optic Cabling, duress alarms and electronic access systems. Completion of site works / systems commissioning is scheduled for March 2024.

Your role will include:
- Installation of cable pathways (conduit systems)
- Installation of equipment security panels, cameras, duress alarms, headend equipment etc
- Installation of fibre and cat 6 cabling, plus termination of same
- Construction verification of network systems plus providing assistance for commissioning of security system.
Key requirements for this project are:
- FIFO experience preferred, however, not essential.
- Open Cable license
- Fibre and structured cabling endorsement's
- Preferred Cert III in Telecommunications
- Working at Heights (within 2 years)
- Construction White Card
- Strong safety culture
- Ability to work as part of a small team
