Job description:

We are excited to be partnering with Outside Ideas, who in a strategic period of growth are looking to engage a Design Manager who will take the lead on the commercial landscaping works of the business.

Outside Ideas are a full-service commercial landscaping and civil construction company who offer a broad range of services across landscaping, civil construction, structural concreting, and maintenance programs.

You will work closely with public and private clients within commercial, education, health, recreation and infrastructure sectors.

With a healthy pipeline of projects over the next 5 years, this opportunity will see you take a lead across design for projects that shape community landscapes across South Australia.

Joining Outside Ideas, you will be supported by the Director and work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to deliver exciting and interesting projects across SA.

The role
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Build strong relationships with clients, design consultants and internal stakeholders including management, construction delivery team and estimating team
Undertake design reviews of tenders and detailed design to reduce/ mitigate risk and identify opportunities through smart and innovative value engineering.
Provide high level technical advice to the estimating and project delivery teams on design issues, opportunities and constructability including the identification and management of technical risks.
