About the Role


As a claims officer, you will report to the head of claims and manage a portfolio of motor insurance claims.

This role is involved in the end-to-end claims handling process and provides support to the wider team within the commercial motor insurance line.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diligent maintenance of electronic claim files ensuring all claim documentation is uploaded to the claim file in a timely manner
  • Application of claim settlements
  • Liaising and instructing investigators and assessors
  • Deliver high quality customer service and develop a good working relationship with all customers and service providers
  • Process claims in line with set procedures and policies for a prompt and effective outcome
  • Facilitate open dialogue with stakeholders in relation to policy interpretation and specific claim management issues.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties as and when required.

About You

  • 1 + years experience in a general insurance environment, ideally in motor insurance
  • Good verbal and written communication, including professional phone manner
  • Knowledge of claims management processes
  • Experience utilizing a major claims management system
  • Good technical/computer skills
  • Experienced in working with other business stakeholders to gather information
  • Excellent Planning and Organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative and be proactive.
