About the Role

As a claims officer, you will report to the head of claims and manage a portfolio of motor insurance claims.

This role is involved in the end-to-end claims handling process and provides support to the wider team within the commercial motor insurance line.

Key Responsibilities:

Diligent maintenance of electronic claim files ensuring all claim documentation is uploaded to the claim file in a timely manner
Application of claim settlements
Liaising and instructing investigators and assessors
Deliver high quality customer service and develop a good working relationship with all customers and service providers
Process claims in line with set procedures and policies for a prompt and effective outcome
Facilitate open dialogue with stakeholders in relation to policy interpretation and specific claim management issues.
Ad hoc administrative duties as and when required.

About You

1 + years experience in a general insurance environment, ideally in motor insurance
Good verbal and written communication, including professional phone manner
Knowledge of claims management processes
Experience utilizing a major claims management system
Good technical/computer skills
Experienced in working with other business stakeholders to gather information
Excellent Planning and Organizational skills.
Highly motivated and able to take initiative and be proactive.
