Job Description:


Toll Group Gases division are searching for a solid leader, capable and driven to undertake an Operations Manager role for our multi-user Rocklea MHF site.


Reporting to the National Manager - Gasses, this role will support the Rocklea site, the BOC customer and the 30+ drivers undertaking Linehaul, Interstate and Regional runs.

You will manage all aspects of BOC contract including driving safety performance, leading our operations team, improving financial results and engaging with our customers.

As the Operations Manager - Rocklea, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership of your site and staff.
  • Set operational directives, allocating people and assets.
  • Be agile in your response to daily/weekly changes in operational requirements.
  • Develop a customer first focus across the team whilst building strong relationships with our customers.
  • Manage cost, grow revenue and report on financial performance
  • Drive safety initiatives and develop a strong safety culture across our Gases contracts.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years experience in Logistics industry within a similar role.
  • Knowledge of distribution best practice, including all areas of receiving, dispatching, inventory control and valueadded services.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams to achieve exceptional performance.
  • Sound decision making ability along with excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Experience in controlling and reporting on contract performance/cost management.
