The Bureau is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Officer to manage depot level repair of returned systems and overall operation of a meteorological workshop.

The workshop supports the Bureau's existing fleet of observation equipment, including 80-odd Radars, 700+ Automatic Weather Stations, data communications and associated equipment.

This is a key position within the Operational Technology and Engineering (OTE) Section, which forms part of the Observing Systems and Operations (OSO) Program.

The role provides specialist advice and will lead the development and implementation of processes that will ensure systematic delivery of quality Level 3 workshop repair and overhaul services.

OTE Section is made up of a diverse team of specialists, engineers and technical officers responsible for the development and design of engineering and technological solutions, incorporating Level 3 maintenance support, on a range of technologies spanning radars to rainfall stations, drifting buoys to dedicated observations, and satellites to ships at sea so as to meet business needs.
