Play a key part in keeping Melbourne's railways operational

Iconic rail organisation / operator with a global footprint
Immediate start with hybrid/flexible/WFH working arrangements

We are currently recruiting for a

Plant, Equipment, and

Facilities Coordinator to support multiple rail vehicle (Rolling Stock) maintenance facilities across Melbourne.

This is a hybrid role with an initial 3-month contract that is likely to extend or convert to permanent.

Roles and Responsibilities

Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities
Supervise and ensure compliance of contracts and contractors to business requirements
Respond to and action plant, equipment and facilities related requests
Assist in the disposal and renewal of various assets when they are no longer fit for purpose
Source suppliers, agree on terms, raise purchase orders, receipt invoices, and ensure payment for works completed
Adhere to relevant processes including safety, finance, procurement etc.
Keep relevant maintenance, financial, and reporting systems up to date

Key Skills and Experience

Prior experience as a Facilities Officer, Coordinator, Manager or similar
Good written and spoken English language skills including the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders (managers, engineers, suppliers, trades etc.)
Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
Unrestricted Victorian driver's licence
Experience in rail or related disciplines would be beneficial but is not mandatory
