Play a key part in keeping Melbourne's railways operational- Iconic rail organisation / operator with a global footprint
- Immediate start with hybrid/flexible/WFH working arrangements
Plant, Equipment, and
Facilities Coordinator to support multiple rail vehicle (Rolling Stock) maintenance facilities across Melbourne.
This is a hybrid role with an initial 3-month contract that is likely to extend or convert to permanent.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Supervise and ensure compliance of contracts and contractors to business requirements
- Respond to and action plant, equipment and facilities related requests
- Assist in the disposal and renewal of various assets when they are no longer fit for purpose
- Source suppliers, agree on terms, raise purchase orders, receipt invoices, and ensure payment for works completed
- Adhere to relevant processes including safety, finance, procurement etc.
- Keep relevant maintenance, financial, and reporting systems up to date
Key Skills and Experience
- Prior experience as a Facilities Officer, Coordinator, Manager or similar
- Good written and spoken English language skills including the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders (managers, engineers, suppliers, trades etc.)
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Unrestricted Victorian driver's licence
- Experience in rail or related disciplines would be beneficial but is not mandatory
