To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Systems Engineer who is ready to join a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team of engineering professionals at the initial stages of the Land555 Phase 6 Force Level Electronic Warfare - Land acquisition program.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the IPT Lead will manage the integrated product team developing software and compute hardware solutions, and provide engineering leadership to the program throughout the engineering lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements.
  • Fulfill the Product Owner role and support the Scrum Master within an Agile Scrum team developing software products.
  • Support the planning, coordination and estimates of program effort, as well as providing status, and remaining effort for overall program.
  • Perform systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to satisfy the system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain subsystem level architecture design documents, specifications and interface requirements specifications.
  • Subcontractor oversight, review and acceptance of deliverables.
  • Identify and escalate program risks using defined processes.
  • Mentoring junior team members to build team skills in systems engineering methodology, as well as the required tools and procedures.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent degree.
  • 8 years' experience in Systems Engineering involving requirements definition, requirements management, analysis, design, verification and validation.
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment (desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels.
  • Knowledge of project management milestones coupled with the ability to work autonomously or with mínimal supervision to deliver completed work according to scheduled commitments.
  • Available to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.
