An opportunity has arisen for a senior legal and risk professional to impact this in the General Manager - Risk & Legal role.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Corporate Services and leading a capable and established team, you will be accountable for the leadership, oversight and execution of the Risk & Legal portfolio within RACV.

In this critical leadership role, you will have overall responsibility for leading and managing the delivery of the risk and legal portfolio including legal services, risk, internal audit and compliance.

As you drive continuous improvement in this embedded function, you will ensure the effective and efficient provision of 'second line' support and oversight to 'first line' divisions/departments to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements as well as operations that are consistent with good business and risk practices.

With strong executive presence, you will also liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders and will also prepare and present reports to the ELT, Board and Board Committees.

You will be a senior legal professional with significant legal and risk experience within large complex corporate environments in the banking, finance, insurance or similar sector/s.

With authentic and inspiring leadership skills, you will have a demonstrable background in team management.

You are a natural team player with exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and have an ability to manage complex and competing priorities effectively.

With highly effective written and verbal communication skills, you will have sophisticated presentation skills and an ability to communicate information, opinions and ideas with credibility.
