About the Role


This role supports the Manager, Data Governance in managing the uplift in safe data practices across the department through development of the data governance strategy, frameworks and standards and implementation of policies and processes across the DoT, contributing to a broader program of work to improve the quality and reliability of data, integrate disparate data sets and improve decision making and feeds of data to customers and third parties.

This will be a key role in developing improved confidence in data quality by proactively developing and enhancing the Data Governance Strategy and Roadmap and identifying and establishing roles and responsibilities for, data owners, stewards and custodians, across the DoT.

This role will support the establishment of appropriate governance practices that are adopted by business units and embedding the tools and processes required to achieve high data quality standards as per the data governance framework, in close collaboration with the data management team.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory

  • Data Governance capability, and experience with procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of data governance and management tools.
Qualifications (Favourable)

  • Experience with the Informatica Data Catalogue Tool.
