Exciting opportunity for an experienced System Operations Fitter to join Service Stream based in Clayton, VIC

System ops experience preferable but not essential.
About the Role

Service Stream System Operations department are currently seeking a System Operations Fitter to join our growing company.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the co-ordination of the safe, timely and quality delivery of Works and ensures compliance with procedures to meet standards.

The System Operations Fitter at all times acts in the mutual interest of Service Stream and the Client.

Reporting Line:
System Operations Supervisor

Key Responsibilities- The supervision and acceptability of any number of Regulator Pit Attendants, apprentices and/or external contractors- Assembling, pre-commissioning, installing, commissioning, purging, and maintaining industrial and commercial meter regulator assemblies, including district and field regulators and pipework including ancillary gas control equipment- Carrying out diagnostic evaluations on the operation and performance of regulating equipment and the associated pneumatic control devices- Performing chart changing duties on district, field, and industrial / commercial regulator units, services, and fitting lines- Fabricating auxiliary pipework for low, medium high and transmission pressure gas-regulating installation- Carrying out operations associated with meter changes, relocations and commissioning to supply gas to a customer's equipment- Other duties, which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence, and training, and related to the efficient running of the depot- Comply with appropriate Award agreement and all Comdain Safety Rules, Regulation and Policies, and applicable Statutory Acts, Regulations, and practices at all times to ensure the safety of fellow workers, the public, and others

About You

To be successful for this role, you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of piping and plant
  • A proven ability to install, fabricate and maintain gas-regulating equipment in a safe manner
  • Proven ability to plan, organise and control a small workforce or workshop
  • Holder of a current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Gas experience is preferable but not essential
