About the Role
A fantastic opportunity for a Wellbeing Health & Safety Officer within our Organisational Development team based in our Newstead, Melbourne, or Sydney Head Office


On a day-to-day basis our Wellbeing Health and Safety Officer will report to the Senior Manager of Wellbeing Health and Safety, supporting our Senior WHS Specialists, People & Culture team, BOQ Group Employees.


This role will provide proactive administrative support to the WHS team and management system, including the supervised development, maintenance and publication of controlled documentation.


  • Contribute to selected team projects in consultation with the Manager.
  • Support workers compensation claims and injury management processes under supervision from Senior WHS Specialists.
  • Support the testing and deployment of WHS platforms, systems and programs.
  • Respond to requests for WHS team assistance from staff and internal stakeholders, escalating to Specialists or Manager as needed
  • Coordinate management reporting as required by Manager
  • Coordinate WHS compliance monitoring activities for support centres and contact centres. Support branch retail network WHS compliance monitoring activities under supervision from Senior WHS Specialists
  • Monitor nonconformance items identified through WHS Health Checks / Incident Reviews / Audits / Inspections and monitor until close out or escalate according to agreed processes.

About you


It is a requirement that you have a minimum of 1 year in a similar role and you will display a sound knowledge of safety legislation and regulatory requirements with experience across both Wellbeing and Work Health and Safety.


  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation
  • Developing data management, analysis and reporting skills
  • Good verbal and written business communications skills
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Developing facilitation and presentation capability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
