    Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based in Melbourne

    Legal Counsel - Litigation

    • We will count on you to:

  • Assisting with contentious matters, subpoena responses, document reviews, matter management, opinions, client complaints; regulatory complaints, regulatory advice
  • Assisting other lawyers in the team
  • Reviewing and drafting responses to client complaints
  • Managing outside counsel, including spend management and invoicing
  • Assisting with development and scheduling of training
  • Legal Research
  • Liaison with external counsel and other service providers
  • Preparing reports and managing registers
  • Document management
  • General legal duties such as having agreements signed by Directors and distributing appropriate papers
  • Other tasks as directed

    • What you need to have:

  • A law degree and qualified as a Solicitor
  • Pro-active and highly organised
  • Thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and accurately to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of writing and communication skills
  • Ability to draft and edit concisely
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
