Who is M2P Engineering?


M2P Engineering are a market leading construction, engineering and fabrication service provider specialising in heavy industrial Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) projects across Australia.


A few quick notes about what we do:

  • To date, our key achievements include major SMP construction projects at remote mine sites, both surface and underground, and industrial facilities in our key operating centres.
  • Scopes we have successfully completed include crushing and conveying systems, mineral processing facilities, ventilation, refrigeration and associated infrastructure.
  • We have recently expanded our service offering to include Energy, Oil and Gas projects.
  • M2P have a number of strategically placed workshops across the country where we fabricate heavy industrial pipework, platework and structural steel.


We've built all of this with determination, plenty of hard work and a little bit of luck, in the short space of time, since M2P was established in 2017 by our MD, Adam (although, there is still much more ahead of us that we'd like you to be a part of).


Want to know more about what could be your new role?

The purpose:
You will be undertaking construction and engineering procurement activities.

Working closely with the commercial team you will support our workshops and major projects nationwide by enabling the supply of materials into our operations through a network of suppliers.


The Pay:
$70k base plus super, depending on skills and experience.


The Office:
Modern offices on the waterfront, in beautiful Teneriffe, close to plenty of great restaurants, cafes and bars. There could also be the opportunity for this role to spend time at our Workshop in Salisbury also.


Possible Career Paths:

If you're wanting development opportunities, this role could lead to additional career path opportunities at M2P such as Business Support, Site Administration, Procurement/Supply chain or Contracts Administration just to name a few.

Some of the things you can expect to learn and undertake when you join the team include:

  • Converting requisitions to orders
  • Expediting goods to sites including remote locations
  • Collecting QA certificates from suppliers
  • Closing out the PO's for mismatches on invoices
  • Research, source and manage suitable suppliers and establish ongoing relationships
  • Identifying alternative suppliers and tendering/negotiating to ensure competitive pricing based on volume is achieved
  • Ensure materials, services and equipment are aligned with business requirements including value, quality and fit
  • Source and coordinate logistics where required, ensuring materials are expedited within necessary timeframes
  • Ensure key stakeholders receive all necessary information
  • Assist with inventory management including control and tracking
  • Internal accounting processes for purchasing
  • Actively monitor and manage demand on supply chain services to ensure capacity/priorities are managed.
There are some important skills and experience that, if you have, we believe will support you in succeeding in this role:

  • Superior administrative skills and plenty of experience using Microsoft office
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to accurately capture data
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain positive working relationships
  • Negotiation & problem solving skills
  • While not essential, if you are familiar with engineering and construction products, materials and consumables, it would be an advantage.
