About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to connect with Victorians through creative, innovative and community focused social media engagement and it's a great opportunity to be part of a team that strives to be innovative and bold.
You'll work closely with teams across communications to create, deliver and publish engaging and informative content across all social platforms in line with department objectives and the social media strategy.
And you'll work closely with the social media and customer contact centre teams to support community management and actively engage with the department's audience across channels.
As part of this role, you will also work across a broad range of topics and portfolios that impact many Victorians, including the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, and Forest Fire Management Victoria brands.
About youYou will be someone who has flair for developing creative and engaging social media content, copy and imagery.
You love a great social media tile, and don't mind having a go with some short and snappy social media specific videos.
You've got a good understanding of community management and enjoy responding to queries on social media across a number of different social media channels.
You've got experience educating and upskilling others in social media best practice or are willing to learn how you can help others develop their skillset in social media.
And you're a team player who's always willing to help your colleagues during busy times.When you are not busy creating content, you don't mind running reports and providing analysis to your stakeholders, and you don't mind doing the nitty gritty tasks and the daily grind.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications- Previous experience working with social media channels is highly desirable.
- Understanding and experience in social media community management is highly desirable.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications. A degree in digital communications, communications or marketing is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in the government sector is highly desirable.
