The Western Health Cardiac Diagnostic Service is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist specialising in all modalities of Cardiac Rhythm with proven expertise and specialist knowledge to join this progressive Cardiac Diagnostic Service team.

Cardiac Services are located across both Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals. Each site has a Cardiac Care Unit and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories providing a 24/7 acute infarct angioplasty service. The Cardiac Diagnostic Service supports inpatient and outpatient services and cardiac specialist outpatient clinics across site. The service is expanding rapidly with the opening new Footscray Hospital including electrophysiology labs at both sites. We are recruiting a cardiac rhythm educator to help the expansion and training of the physiologist workforce.


The Cardiac Rhythm Educator, is a senior Cardiac Physiologist and a member of the cardiac diagnostic service team with demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, competency and clinical expertise in Cardiac Rhythm Service provision.

The successful applicant must have sound knowledge in all technical aspects of cardiac rhythm related service modalities including electrocardiography (ECG), ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring, and electrophysiology and device follow-up.


Duties include
Assisting with orientation of new staff to the role

Support staff with learning and development


To be Successful in this Role you will have

  • Post graduate qualifications in Cardiac Rhythm
  • CEPIA or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated achievement in provision of expert clinical service in area of expertise
  • Highly developed interpersonal, organisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated achievement in leadership and supervision within area of responsibility to ensure effective service provision/program delivery
