About the role

Queensland Parliamentary Services is seeking a dynamic Facilities Manager to lead the charge in maintaining and enhancing our Parliament Precinct and 97 Member's Electorate Offices.

With a mandate for innovation, you'll ensure our services are nothing short of exceptional.
Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead our Maintenance Strategy including planning and programming, ensuring all KPIs are met and optimum Whole of Life asset outcomes achieved.
  • Be the goto expert for our CMS (ServiceNow System) and WHSEQ Management Systems, providing support and training to drive compliance across the business.
  • Drive ServiceNow compliance, mentoring our teams to get the best out of the system.
  • Lead from the front, providing technical support and fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Keep a keen eye on expenditure, working closely with the Manager, Property Services to align with budgetary goals and delivery of the best possible value for money outcomes.
  • Engage in strategic asset planning, offering valuable feedback to keep us moving forward.
  • Craft detailed scopes of work for service contracts, ensuring compliance with QPS Procurement Policy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, setting a standard for excellent internal and member relations.
What We Are Looking For

Facility Management:
Proven experience in a property or corporate real estate environment or similar complex industry.

Leadership:
Ability to lead and develop a diverse team through regular training and coaching.

Integrated Services:
Skilled in managing comprehensive services that include property and facilities management, along with financial oversight.

Business Acumen:
Strong strategic planning skills and business insight.

Organisational Skills:
Adept at prioritizing and delegating tasks to meet deadlines

Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholder groups.
