Description
The part-time position is based on three days per week and is a shift work position. While the hours are primarily worked during the week some weekend work will be required.


The primary objectives of the position are:
To supervise the front of house operations and service delivery of a fine dining restaurant to ensure the delivery of a quality service; and

To assist with supervision of events and daily operations of a variety of food and beverage trading areas (Dining and Function rooms, Bars, etc.) within the Parliamentary precinct.


The duties and responsibilities of the position may include:

  • Liaise as required with clients and event organisers prior to, during and at the conclusion of scheduled functions.
  • Supervise the day to day operations of a variety of food and beverage trading areas (Dining and Function rooms, Bars, etc).
  • Liaise with Function Coordinators and the Head Chef in the delivery of services in trading areas.
  • Undertake daily reconciliation of cash registers.
  • Undertake the ordering of prepared items from internal stores, and carry out stocktakes.
  • Assist with the training of new employees.
  • Provide leadership, support and training to other Catering Services staff.
