The Product Manager for SAP Advisory & Project Services role is part of the global SAP CoE.

The role is responsible for the products, offerings and solutions related to Advisory and Project Services owned by the SAP CoE.


The Product Manager is working in close collaboration with and reporting to the Global SAP CoE Leader and SAP CoE SMEs to understand market and customer demands and need for future products and offering improvements and enhancements.


The product manager analyses market signals, identifies the new additions within their area of responsibility and plans for how the addition will be successfully launched, deployed and adopted in the regions across sales and delivery.


The Product Manager generates high level business cases for CoE investment in support of the development of new capabilities, products and offerings for the SAP CoE, which will be foundational proof points for more substantive investment with fail fast, go fast philosophy in collaboration with other CoEs where appropriate.

The Product Manager manages the planning and build to launch of new products and offerings in collaboration with the Demand & Need Capture (DNC), Execution & Acceleration team (E&A) and the Shared Platform and Integration team (SPI)

What we need to see from you:

MARKET SENSE & PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

  • Maintains relevance and differentiations of products and offerings owned by the SAP CoE for Advisory and Project services, drawing on inputs from internal (e.g., Regional Portfolio Strategists, Portfolio Managers, other Product Managers, CoE SMEs, delivery leadership, regional heads, etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g., technology partners, customers, etc.) as well as proprietary research.
  • Drives Product strategy/Solution priorities for the near/midterm together with the relevant partners; build investment cases and product roadmap.
  • Develops the business case for solution investment (when effort is contained entirely in the CoE) based on market research or work with the DNC portfolio strategists to develop the business case for new offering for larger or crossCoEs investments
  • Actively engages with the regions, the Regional Portfolio Strategists and have frequent customer interactions to gain valuable input on what the demands and needs are across different markets.

E2E LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

  • Owns and presents the business case for MVPs (when effort contained entirely in the CoE/serviceline/practice) to the relevant SCP leadership team.
  • Is a key stakeholder and contributor in the generation of business cases produced by a Portfolio Manager (when effort is NOT contained entirely in the CoE/serviceline/practice).
  • Leads reviews and tracks results of business cases to ensure the team prioritizes the right investments.
  • Works with Portfolio Managers and Regional Portfolio Strategists and manage global & local CoE products, offerings and solutions for the area of responsibility (SAP Advisory and Project services).
  • Supports sales enablement (e.g., create CoE collaterals) and works closely with software development and solutions architects in creating new offerings.
  • Drives and manages strategic vendor partnerships together with Portfolio Managers and CoE SMEs

PEOPLE

  • Leads the distributed Product Management team (where necessitated by scale of CoE / Service Line) and collaborates closely with peers from other CoEs and Service Lines.
  • Seeks insights from the team members on areas for improvement within the CoEs products and offerings, the Solutions & Services organization, and the company.
  • Mentors the team members and assists them with their onboarding / professional development (incl. upskilling and reskilling).
  • Engages team members in various internal initiatives (like innovation projects) whenever the business environment is right to drive their engagement and excitement with the company.

LEADERSHIP

  • Consistently acts as SoftwareONE Culture role model for team members, other CoEs and Service Lines, peers, internal and external partners (Leading By Example).
  • Collaborates and shares best practices / learnings from the regions / delivery experience across the globe to improve both overall customer satisfaction and SoftwareONE's portfolio.
  • Evangelizes the CoE / Service Line's and the CoE offerings and products, proactively supports the sales enablement / readiness motions across Solutions & Services as well as represent SoftwareOne in Industry and Analyst events
  • Actively maintains and develops the relationship with key technical roles with top technology partners relevant for the CoE / Service Line.
  • Actively follows and adapts to (emerging) business, industry, and competitive trends through interaction with customers, industry peers and the regional services
