About the role
Our Retail Assistant are leaders in guiding team members to attain excellence in customer service and sales. They have impeccable attention to detail and are motivated to ensure operational and service standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist customers and provide quality customer service, expert advice & guidance on product selection
- Process cash and card payments
- Stock shelves with merchandise
- Answer queries from customers
- Balance cash registers with receipts
- Keep the store tidy and clean
- Attach price tags to merchandise on the shop floor
- Receive and store the delivery of stock
- Undertake cyclical stocktaking activities
- Stock merchandising & labelling
- Receive & store delivery of stock (some heavy lifting required)
- Assist & attend all external company sales events such as Caravan & Camping shows as required
- Phone & counter sales processing
- General housekeeping & retail administrations duties
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Minimum 3 year previous retail sales experience in a high volume outlet
- Previous experience within a specialist retail environment
- Caravan, RV, Auto and Marine industry exposure
- Experience with Dynamics Navision would be highly regarded
- Current Drivers Licence
- Certificate in Retail or Retail Operations would be an advantage but not necessary
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient computer experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
